Engagement session — practice being photographed

03 · Engagement session

A rehearsal for being seen

Optional, but often a good idea. An hour or two somewhere you already love — a walk through the city, a Sunday morning in your kitchen. Mostly: practice being photographed without an audience.

The wedding day — from first light to last song

04 · The day

Present, never directing

I arrive before the nerves do, while the dress is still on its hanger and the light is soft and gray. I stay through the vows, the toasts, the first dance, the last song spilling into the dark. One photographer, two cameras, no fuss — three feet away when it matters, invisible when it doesn't.

Home within four weeks

How I work

  • One photographer, one bag

No second shooter you didn't meet, no assistant in your photos. Just me, moving quietly through your day.

  • Film and digital, side by side

Film for the frames you'll hang on a wall. Digital for the moments I can't afford to miss. You get both.

  • No directing

I won't pose you into someone you're not. I'll put you somewhere good and let the day happen.

Before you ask

How many hours do you cover?

Most weddings need eight to ten. I'll tell you honestly if yours needs less — I'm not here to upsell hours you won't use.

Do we get the digital files?

Yes. Every edited frame, high-resolution, yours to print and keep. No drip-feed, no locked galleries.

How far ahead should we book?

I take a limited number of weddings each year. Most couples reach out nine to twelve months out; some sooner for peak dates.

Do you travel?

Gladly. I'm based in California and shoot nationwide. Travel beyond the state is quoted simply and transparently.

Film or digital?

Both, always. The mix is mine to judge on the day — you'll never have to choose.
